Whether you’re looking for a wild all-night party or an early evening event that’s suitable for the kids, we have options on our list that will suit your needs. Check out these local events and grab your tickets early to secure a spot for the party you want to attend most.

Charm City Countdown Time Traveler’s Ball

The Charm City Countdown’s 2022 New Year’s Eve party is a themed Time Traveler’s Ball, encouraging guests to don their best historical costumes from any time period. Described as “The Time Machine meets Back to the Future,” this event promises outstanding people-watching throughout the evening. 

Though the event takes place at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel, it will feel worlds away. Each party room has a theme from a different era, offering a plethora of exciting destinations to explore. The immersive party zones will include:

  • King Arthur’s Court.
  • Roman Festival Hall.
  • Queen Victoria’s Outdoor Lounge.
  • Wild West Dodge City Saloon.
  • Titanic Galley.
  • Al Capone’s 1920s hideout.
  • 1940s Casablanca karaoke lounge.
  • 1950s Rock and Roll Club Room.
  • 1960s Twist and Shout Lounge.
  • Studio 54 ’70s dance club.
  • Moore Theater Seattle circa 1990s.
  • 10 Forward on the USS Enterprise, circa 2365.

The party features a red carpet that’s perfect for taking photos. You’ll find food, drinks, and music throughout. The dinner buffet includes an oyster bar, shrimp, artisanal cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, and an abundance of dips, including warm crab dip, buffalo chicken dip, and spinach artichoke dip. In the High Roller’s Club, VIPs have access to additional dishes, including bruschetta stations, chilled seared tuna, carved tenderloin, and roasted red bliss potatoes.

The 4.5-hour open bar includes a wine bar, beer station, martini bar, and shooter bar. Premium beverages are available in the VIP section. Everyone enjoys a champagne toast at midnight.

The party doesn’t stop after the balloon drop, though! A continental breakfast comes out from 1 to 2 a.m., featuring breakfast pastries, bagels, coffee, and teas. A limited number of hotel rooms are available on the premises for those who book early. This promises to be one of the most elaborate parties in the Clarksville area.

Painting Parties at The Thrifty Teacher

The Thrifty Teacher is a thrift store for teachers, reselling unique educational supplies that educators don’t get through the school system. The Thrifty Teacher also hosts painting classes throughout the year. You can celebrate New Year’s Eve with The Thrifty Teacher through one of two classes.

The Noon-Year’s Eve class is for any participant age 5 or older. The class lasts from noon to 1:30 p.m. and concludes with a glass of sparkling cider to toast to the upcoming new year.

The evening New Year’s Eve class runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. This class is for participants age 18 and over. Those who are at least 21 years of age will receive a champagne toast at the end of the class. 

Both classes include a New Year’s Eve themed painting complete with festive fireworks in the picture to commemorate the event.

Midnight at 7 at the Symphony of Lights

The Merriweather Symphony of Lights is an annual tradition that features more than 300,000 light bulbs in stunning illuminated displays. The light display runs from Nov. 25, 2021, through Jan. 2, 2022, with select nights for drive-through viewing as well as walk-through evenings where visitors can explore on foot.

For New Year’s Eve, the Symphony of Lights will be open for walk-through visitors from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This evening features something special with a fireworks display over the lights at 7:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, strollers, and wagons to sit comfortably along the pathways during the fireworks.

Gatsby’s House NYE

Ring in the new year in all the glitz and glamour of the 1920s with the Gatsby’s House New Year’s Eve party hosted by BAL nightlife. The event will take place at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Guests will enjoy access to the massive ballroom and two areas for mingling. Three top DJs will be on hand to keep the music going with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems for ample entertainment.

Guests enjoy access to a five-hour prepaid bar. In addition to the music, you’ll find craps, roulette, and blackjack games with special prizes for the first- and second-place finishers. The event includes free party favors for all while supplies last.

If you’re interested in an enhanced experience for the event, you can purchase VIP tickets that include upgraded party favors and access to exclusive VIP areas. There you’ll find premium prepaid drinks and complimentary hors d’oeuvres from 9 to 11 p.m., including coconut shrimp, Moroccan chicken lollipops, edamame pot stickers, and bacon-wrapped short ribs.

Under the Fireworks NYE Yacht Party

Climb on board the Inner Harbor Spirit Yacht for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve. The yacht offers two spacious decks where you can dance along to the live DJs or dine on the buffet-style dinner. The cruise features a premium open bar for the duration and party favors themed to the roaring ’20s. With a VIP ticket, you’ll even receive a commemorative captain’s hat.

The cruise takes place from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with check-in at 9:15 and the final boarding at 9:55. From the boat, you’ll enjoy outstanding views of the inner harbor fireworks show. All guests must be at least 21 years of age. Wear your best 1920s-themed attire, from flapper dresses to zoot suits. If you prefer something more traditional, cocktail attire is appropriate.
