Koons Clarksville

Chevrolet Buick GMC

May 5, 2021

The new Chevy Colorado gets a few tweaks but is mostly unchanged from its predecessor. The 2021 Chevy Colorado gets a front fascia refresh, eliminates the base model, gets revised badging, paint colors, and wheel options, and adds a chrome appearance package.

Legendary Performance

The new Chevy Colorado continues its tradition of brawny, uncompromising capability thanks rugged engineering quality and ample performance equipment. The latest model year stays true to the classic recipe, offering up four trim levels, three engine options, and a wide variety of performance features. The base trim of the Chevy Colorado is powered by a beefy 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that makes 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. For drivers after more power, the new Chevy Colorado offers up two more engine options: a 3.6-liter V6 and a 2.8-liter turbodiesel inline-4. The 3.6-liter V6 makes 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque while the 2.8-liter diesel engine manages 186 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. All three engines work with either a 6-speed automatic transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission. If you’re after serious off-road capability, then you have a couple of options: a Z71 and a ZR2. The Z71 trim offers up automatic locking rear differential, hill descent control, off-road suspension, and all-terrain tires. The top-level ZR2 goes even further, offering up full-locking front differential, four-wheel drive, off-road rocker protector, 17-inch DuraTrac tires, and a ZR2 off-road package.
