Whether you’re visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday or live in the Baltimore, Maryland, area, it’s fun to get out and enjoy local events. Our team at Koons Clarksville Chevrolet Buick GMC has compiled a list of eight ways to enjoy Thanksgiving time around the lovely city of Baltimore.

Girl’s Night Out! Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop at Graduate Annapolis

No matter where you’re planning on spending Thanksgiving, adding a beautiful centerpiece to the table will make the meal extra special. Gather sisters, daughters, mothers, aunts, nieces, and girlfriends together to make a show-stopping Thanksgiving centerpiece and floral display at Girl’s Night Out! Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop at Graduate Annapolis.

During this event hosted by Something’s Blooming Annapolis and held at the delightful Trophy Room at the Graduate Annapolis hotel, you’ll use colorful fall flowers, dried wheat, and stunning roses to make your special creation. As you and your friends make the floral arrangement, you’ll be treated to a specialty beverage that will help to make the night extra fun. This event will take place at the Graduate Annapolis hotel located at 126 W. St. in Annapolis on November 23 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Dine at the Thames Street Oyster House

After eating plenty of turkey and pumpkin pie, branch out and have dinner at the Thames Street Oyster House in historic Fells Point. You’ll dine right on the waterfront of the Inner Harbor with magnificent views of the Patapsco River.

For oyster lovers, this restaurant offers 11 different kinds of oysters from both the east and west coasts. In addition, you can dine on the freshest local seafood from the Baltimore area as well as eat fresh local produce. From the raw bar, savor ice-cold fresh oysters and clams and then move on to entrees such as crab cakes, Maine lobster risotto, or a black Angus New York steak. You can find the Thames Street Oyster House at 1728 Thames Street.

Participate in the Jug Bay Post Turkey 5K Trail Run

Not only will you burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories, but you’ll also be surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery at the Jug Bay Glendening Nature Preserve when you participate in the Jug Bay Post Turkey 5K Trail Run. This fun run winds through off-road trails with scenic views of the woods and the Patuxent River.

Running this 5K is an exciting way to spend time in nature with family and friends while helping to support the Friends of Jug Bay program. Proceeds from the entrance and registration fees will help Jug Bay buy kayaks and other equipment that goes toward their outdoor educational programs.

Be Spellbound Watching a Magical Cirque Christmas

You’ll be amazed at the agility and strength of the performers as you watch a Magical Cirque Christmas. Watch the cirque artists as they fly through the air on trapezes, whirl through aerial hoops, and perform amazing tricks, all set to popular Christmas music performed live for your listening pleasure. The show will be held at The Lyric at 140 W. Mt. Royal Ave. on November 27 at 8 p.m.

Cheer on the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium

A fun way to spend time with family and friends over Thanksgiving is to head over to M&T Bank Stadium and cheer on the Baltimore Ravens football team as they go head to head with the Cleveland Browns. The game starts at 8 p.m. EST, and you can find the stadium at 1101 Russell St. in Baltimore. Baltimore is known for its delicious blue crab, so check out these places to savor crab cakes before heading to the stadium to cheer the Ravens on.

Listen to the Beautiful Voices of the A Capella Group Pentatonix

Enjoy Christmas music sung by the three-time Grammy Award winning a cappella artists Pentatonix. Using only their voices as instruments, Pentatonix delivers stunning versions of songs that we all know and love. The group will perform songs from their new holiday album, “Evergreen,” with songs such as “I Just Called to Say I Love You” written by the legendary Stevie Wonder. You can see Pentatonix perform The Evergreen Christmas Tour at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena located at 1000 Hilltop Circle on November 27 at 7 p.m.

Shop for Holiday Gifts at the Christmas Village in Baltimore

Find beautiful handmade gifts, housewares, and specialty food products when you visit the Christmas Village in Baltimore. This market features German food, beer and wine tastings, as well as artists that make nutcrackers, glass ornaments, pyramids, and other traditional German crafts. You can eat German food inside of the large heated festival tent and enjoy a stout German beer before shopping at this festival. From November 20 to December 24, you can shop at the festival located at the Inner Harbor’s West Shore Park.

Rock Out to The Lemonheads at the Baltimore Soundstage

For fans of the alternative American rock band The Lemonheads, you can see the band perform live at the Baltimore Soundstage. Delighting audiences since their early years starting in 1986, The Lemonheads rose to fame in the mid-1990s when they did a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s famous song, Mrs. Robinson. Today, The Lemonheads tour regularly with old favorites and plenty of new songs. Mark your calendar for Friday November 26 to see the show that starts at 8 p.m. You can find the Baltimore Soundstage at 124 Market Place.
