The ever-popular GMC Sierra 1500 gets an all-new interior for 2022, complete with upgraded technology, refined features, and elegant finishing. This light-duty pickup truck comes in eight trim levels with varying interior features to fit every personality and budget. If you’re considering purchasing this truck and want to know more about the differences between the trim levels, use this guide to take a look inside each model of the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500.

Pro

Although the lowest 2022 Sierra 1500 model, the interior of the Pro trim feels anything but entry level. The Sierra Pro comes standard with a diagonal monochromatic driver information display, a rear vision camera, a two-speaker audio system, and a 7-inch infotainment touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration capability. It features a manual tilt steering column, an outside temperature display, and power windows. Use the single-zone climate control system to set and maintain a comfortable temperature inside the truck.

The Sierra Pro comes equipped with standard interior safety features, including a tire pressure monitoring system with tire fill alert and lane keep assist with lane departure warning. If you want to equip your Sierra Pro with more advanced features, you can add a variety of options, including adaptive cruise control, a 10-way power driver seat, and two USB ports.

SLE

Step up to the SLE trim to add various features, including a 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar, a 12.3-inch color driver information center with a compass, a six-speaker audio system, and a 13.4-inch infotainment touch screen. Front and rear rubberized vinyl floor mats help protect the interior from debris. Dual-zone automatic climate control allows you to select individual temperatures for the driver and front passenger, who will also enjoy heated seats with three levels of warmth. The SLE trim features a manual tilt and telescoping steering column and a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel.

The SLE offers the same safety features as the Pro, along with a theft-deterrent unauthorized safety system. Hitch guidance and cruise control come standard on the SLE trim. It also comes with USB ports, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and wireless phone projection.

Elevation

The Sierra Elevation trim comes standard with all the same interior features as the SLE level, though it adds some options not available on the lower trim. If you choose the Elevation, you can add front bucket seats with a center console, which includes reconfigurable features for cup holders, cellphone storage, and wireless charging. Premium front and rear floor liners with removable carpet inserts are available, along with available wireless charging. Unlike the SLE, the Elevation trim comes standard with a rear window defogger to help remove fog or frost from the rear window.

SLT

Upgrade to the Sierra SLT for more standard premium features, including a 10-way power front passenger seat and driver memory with two preset options for the power seat and outside mirrors. The SLT trim features front carpeted floor mats color-keyed to match the interior. A rearview auto-dimming mirror automatically dims when it detects bright light from behind to help protect you when driving at night.

In addition to its standard features, the SLT offers many available add-ons to enhance your driving experience, such as ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a power tilt and telescoping steering column. Front and rear park assist is an optional safety feature on the SLT trim.

AT4

The sporty, four-wheel-drive Sierra AT4 features a unique interior with available black leather front seat trim with Kalahari accents. It comes standard with many of the same features as the lower trims but adds standard front bucket seats with a center console and heated rear seats. Unlike the lower trims, the AT4 comes equipped with hitch guidance on the rear vision camera and an in-vehicle trailering app with a mileage tracker and maintenance reminders. A power tilt and telescoping steering column comes standard, along with ventilated front seats.

The AT4 adds other standard safety features, including a safety alert seat with vibrating pulses. The AT4 features a Bose premium sound system with a woofer and seven speakers. Wireless charging and three years of GMC Connected Services are standard features on the AT4 trim.

AT4X

The high-level AT4X comes standard with the same features as the AT4 and expands with some additional creature comforts, including standard adaptive cruise control. A three-channel programmable remote pairs with various compatible devices, such as garage door openers and security systems. The AT4X gets an upgraded 12-speaker Bose premium sound system with a woofer.

The AT4X comes outfitted with additional features to help you stay protected on the road. A bed view camera provides a view of the cargo bed, and a rear camera mirror offers a wider view of the area behind the vehicle than the traditional rearview mirror. HD surround vision provides an overhead image of the area around the vehicle. Standard safety features not included with previous models include rear cross traffic braking, rear pedestrian alert, a trailer side zone blind alert, and front and rear park assist.

Denali

The Sierra Denali features many of the same standard interior comforts as the ATX4, including a bed view camera and HD surround vision. The Denali comes with the seven-speaker Bose premium sound system and woofer speaker. Like other trims, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and ventilated front seats are all standard. Denali illuminated door sills are an available option to create premium ambient lighting. Enhanced automatic emergency braking is an available safety option with the Denali trim.

Denali Ultimate

At the top of the Sierra 1500 lineup, the four-wheel-drive Denali Ultimate features luxurious, state-of-the-art interior features. Along with the same features as the Denali, it adds adaptive cruise control and a rear camera mirror. The Denali Ultimate offers full-grain leather seating and open-poor wood surfaces. It features a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system with surround sound and power front seats with massage. Enhanced automatic emergency braking, a super cruise driver assistance system, and a head-up display are all standard safety features.
